Visiting New Port Richey Florida when in western
Pasco county on the Gulf of Mexico there are great places to visit. One of these awesome local places to visit is the Crab Shack in Port Richey. The Crab Shack is located just east of the US 19 bridge on the Pithlachascotee River. Maybe you have driven down US 19 in Port Richey and noticed the giant shark hanging by the dock along the river and wondered what that was, that my friends is the Crab Shack.
The Crab Shack is definitely a unique dining experience in Port Richey. The restaurant is built around the historic trees along the riverbank you can enjoy great food in a friendly atmosphere surrounded by nature that is growing right up through the restaurant as well as the big tree on one of the outer decks that twists through the tables. Some of the "must try" fare includes the Fish Ruben sandwich and the Captain Dan burger and if you have never had Shrimp Poppers, you might want to wet your appetite with an order.

places that are tucked away from the hustle and bustle of US19 where local people meet to dine and enjoy the Pithlachascotee River that our city is built around. You can sit and relax in with a great cocktail or a bucket of beer and watch the boats go by while you enjoy your lunch or dinner. When your out on the river either as a visitor or a resident, be sure to pop by the Crab Shack and tie off on one of the docks and enjoy some great food and friendly service. The Crab Shack is just one more reason I love living in New Port Richey.
